Secure Online Orders at COAPE

At COAPE, we take your privacy and security very seriously when it comes to enrolling on one of our courses online.

Once you selected a course and click on the Proceed to Payment and Checkout button, your browser will go into 'secure mode' as soon as you access the 'checkout' page. You can check that you are shopping in a secure environment by looking for either a locked padlock or a key icon in the address bar at the top right of your browser, or a grey bar at the bottom of your screen, depending on what type of computer and browser you are using. You can also check that you are in 'secure mode' by noting the 'https' at the beginning of our internet payment service provider's (Secure Trading) 'https://securetrading.net' web address.

Being in 'secure mode' means that all of your details are encrypted to help keep them secure. Encryption creates billions of code combinations to protect each transaction made on our site, so your card details cannot be 'hijacked' and viewed by anyone else using the Internet. If you are using one of the more recent browser versions, our site supports 128 bit encryption and therefore keeps your details as safe as possible at all times.

We only accept orders that are placed using Secure Socket Layer (SSL). This technology prevents you from inadvertently revealing personal information using an insecure connection. During payment, we also ask for your card billing address as an additional security check. New security checks like the card signature code have recently been introduced to protect your credit card details online.

No credit or debit card details are stored by COAPE, Secure Trading or any other third parties once your order has been processed.

Payment can be made via Visa, MasterCard, Solo, Delta or Switch/Maestro. We do not accept American Express. Please note that Electron cards cannot be used online.

MasterCard SecureCode

COAPE is now participating in Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode for added online payment security. These services are offered by Visa and MasterCard, in association with the bank that has issued your credit / debit card. It is aimed at protecting your details when shopping online by ensuring your card is not being used by someone else and is becoming a standard across all shopping websites.

What is it?
3-D Secure is a new security programme which gives you enhanced protection when making payments online.

Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode
These are security programmes created by the major Card Suppliers (Visa and MasterCard). They allow you to create your own personal password, known only to you, for use as an extra security measure each time you use your Visa or MasterCard payment card to make a future payment online.

How does it work?
You only need to register with 'Verified by Visa' or 'MasterCard SecureCode' once to create your password for your credit / debit card. Then whenever you make a payment online using your card you will be asked to enter this password as additional validation before the payment is confirmed.

What do I need to do to register?
To register for Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode you need to use the links shown at the bottom of this page. After entering your card and personal details you will then be asked to create a personal password which will be used to authenticate future payments made online with your card. The details you enter in this process will be submitted to your card issuer over a secure link; this information will not be held or viewed on any COAPE system.

What if I am already registered?
If you have already registered you just need to enter your personal Visa or MasterCard SecureCode password as instructed.

Which cards are checked for 3D Secure?
All major debit and credit cards, including Maestro and Solo are checked for participation within 3D Secure.

If I haven't enrolled can I still make a payment?
Yes, you can. Both 'Verified by Visa' or 'MasterCard SecureCode' give you the option to 'sign up now' or 'sign up later' on their verification page so you can by-pass this extra layer of security. But COAPE strongly advise that you do take advantage of these new systems.
